    Upon completion of this course, the participant/adjuster will understand how mold is identified in buildings, where the problems are, what the solutions are and what is done during a mold assessment.  Case studies will also be reviewed and discussed.

    The purpose of this course to inform insurance adjusters about the process of assessing water damaged and mold growth within a building.  Participants will gain an understanding what to do when a mold claim received will aid the insurance adjuster in handling regulated mold claims associated within a building

  • COVID-19: Safety & Health Practices and Back to Business

     As our businesses venture into reopening considerations, this training reviews the many aspects of the back to business process.  The program reviews the enhanced PPE being used by your employees, and the general public, and decontamination and cross contamination considerations.  New safety protocols, disinfection procedures and details are reviewed with applicability to a back to business plan for your operation and property, with reference to the most recent information available through the CDC, OSHA and other resources.

  • Asbestos Consulting/Abatement

    This course is intended to provide the claims adjuster with a critical overview of the regulatory and cost control elements of managing asbestos-containing materials in buildings/utilities/soil. The course will provide insurance professionals/adjusters with tools to evaluate whether proposed asbestos consulting/abatement fees are legitimate and whether a scope of work provided by asbestos consultants/abatement contractors is warranted.  Elements of the course include a brief overview of the health effects of asbestos, regulations governing the management of asbestos, the role of the asbestos consultant and the abatement contractor, controlling the scope of work and cost control measures.

  • Mold Consulting/Remediation: Critical Issues for Cost Control in Claims

    This course is intended to provide the claims adjuster with a critical overview of the regulatory and cost control elements of managing mold contamination in buildings. The course will provide insurance professionals/adjusters with tools to evaluate whether proposed mold consulting/remediation fees are legitimate and whether a scope of work provided by mold consultants/remediation contractors is warranted.  Elements of the course include a brief overview of the health effects of molds, regulatory and guidance documents governing the assessment and remediation of mold, the role of the mold consultant and the mold remediation contractor, controlling the scope of work and cost control measures.
