Mr. Vines brings over 30 years of expertise in the structural design and evaluation of a wide range of building types, including commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential structures.  His work spans the design of new buildings and the renovation and repair of existing ones.  He has conducted structural assessments of existing buildings to determine their suitability for reuse, as well as the design of repairs for damage caused by accidents or natural events, and retrofits to accommodate new uses and loading requirements.  Additionally, he has evaluated commercial and industrial buildings as part of due diligence processes for real estate transactions.  Mr. Vines also has experience in the physical testing of building components for manufacturers.

In his role with EFI’s Building Enclosure Group, Mr. Vines specializes in investigating storm-related damage and construction defects in building envelopes and their components, including fenestrations and roof coverings, across both residential and commercial properties.
