Mr. Matthew Decker is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire, Arson, and Explosion Investigation, and a minor in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology. He also received an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Sussex County Community College in New Jersey. Along with his degrees, he has completed internships with law enforcement agencies and private sector fire investigation agencies to obtain knowledge in both criminal and civil investigation, criminal court procedure, fire investigation, and post-blast investigation. Mr. Decker also has over 10-years of experience in the fire protection industry, where he worked as a Fire Protection Equipment Technician and business owner dealing with portable fire extinguishers and kitchen fire suppression systems. Currently, Mr. Decker is employed by EFI Global, Inc. as a Fire Investigator & Evidence Technician and has been involved in over 250 origin & cause investigations, including 9 explosion investigations.
