Dan German has been working in the field of environmental consulting and environmental research for 27 years and has been working with EFI Global since 2015. Mr. Germans’ certifications include California Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) and California Lead Inspector Assessor (CDPH LIA). Asbestos and lead-related experience includes building surveys for asbestos and lead-containing materials, providing oversight during the removal of such materials, performing contamination assessments and developing decontamination and abatement procedures. Mr. Germans’ experience extends well beyond asbestos and lead-related issues. He has designed and performed indoor air quality assessments, construction and industrial hygiene monitoring and exposure evaluations in commercial, industrial and public buildings. Many projects required careful coordination and clear communication between multiple parties to achieve successful project completion. Clients have included property owners, insurance adjusters, developers, contractors and regulatory agencies.

Mr. German has over four years of involvement with environmental projects at LAX airport which have included terminals, administrations buildings, aircraft operations area (AOA), RACCI areas, utility tunnels, the Theme Building, cargo facilities and aircraft hangers. Mr. German currently holds a green SIDA badge with Customs and Escort Icons. In addition, Mr. German is the Authorized Signer for all airport supporting employees for EFI Global, as well as the Monthly Motor Vehicle Operations Permits for EFI Global’s Fleet of Vehicle access to the AOA .

Current Responsibilities:

Customer service, on-call emergency response and contract administration of environmental services contracts.

Communication with clientele involving all project facets, including budgetary tracking, solicitation of bids, work scope development, coordination between contractors and stakeholder outreach meetings;

Interaction with the various government agencies including AQMD and OSHA;

Project Management of asbestos and lead-based paint surveys typically involving commercial, residential and light industrial/warehouse properties;

Designing and conducting indoor air quality investigations (IAQ) for biological and non-biological constituents;

Developing protocols and providing project oversight for the remediation and abatement of asbestos, lead-based paint and biological contamination;

Training and education of employees and clients;

Management of quality control / quality assurance programs (AIHA PAT Program);

Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA);

Asbestos School Hazard Abatement Reauthorization Act (ASHARA);

Toxic Substance Control Act National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAPS);
