After graduating from Purdue in 1970, Mr. Hansen worked briefly as a plant electrician at United States Steel, Gary Sheet and Tim Mill. In the fall of that year, after basic training, Mr. Hansen was an electronics technician (airborne radio repairman) in the United States Air Force and served in that capacity until his (honorable) discharge in 1974.
After his discharge from the Air Force, Mr. Hansen worked for Commonwealth Edison Co. as an Efficiency Engineer/plant engineer in a fossil-fuel-fired power plant, then as a control systems engineer in fossil fuel plants, and then as a control systems engineer in a PWR nuclear plant.
After leaving Commonwealth Edison, Mr. Hansen was a design-for-construction consulting electrical engineer for a Chicago Engineering firm.
In 1984, Mr. Hansen began his career in forensic electrical engineering and has extensive experience in this field. He has been court-qualified as an electrical expert in Federal and State jurisdictions.
