  • Independent Contractors

    EFI Global has immediate openings for qualified Consultant Engineers and
    Fire Investigators across the U.S.

    We are seeking licensed engineers and certified fire investigators to support our operations and catastrophe response efforts across the U.S. Using advanced understanding and knowledge of engineering and/or fire investigation principles and methods, qualified candidates must investigate, inspect, and interpret evidence of property damage and/or equipment failure for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings and sites, to determine origin and cause. Duties include conducting site inspections, documenting conditions, analyzing data, developing conclusions, and drafting technical reports.

    Requirements for Engineers include:
    A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and a minimum of 7 years of forensic investigative experience. Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (PE), willing to travel with short notice, and perform inspections in all types of structures and weather conditions, including catastrophe aftermath. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

    Requirements for Fire Investigators include:
    3 – 5 years’ fire investigation experience and hold a Certified Fire Investigator certification from the International Arson Investigators Association (IAAI) or a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) certification from the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI).
