Mark Churpek is structural engineer with more than twenty years of experience, including the design of new structures and structural repairs, condition assessments of existing facilities, and failure investigations for a variety of structural systems and construction materials.

Mr. Churpek holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering. His first three years of practice involved the design and evaluation of bridges. Since that time, his practice has focused on evaluation of existing structures. This includes investigations to determine the cause, origin, and extent of damage to distressed structures affected by tornadoes, hurricanes, snow, fires, vehicle impacts, construction defects, deterioration, and other factors. Mr. Churpek also has experience with the design of stabilization and repairs to damaged structures.
