Mark Orr has twenty-one years of experience as a civil engineer with structural design experience. His extensive background has allowed him to develop a variety of civil engineering skills, including: Field Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Grading issues, Structural Design of Residential and Commercial Buildings, and Forensic Engineering with an emphasis in Construction Defect and Compliance.
The various engineering fields which have formed his skills, along with his strong spatial relation skills, allow him to bring a unique perspective to the projects in which he is involved. Having been responsible for scheduling projects, designing residential and commercial projects, as well as the construction management of residential and commercial projects has given him the ability to quickly identify and prioritize design issues. He spent many years in assisting construction managers in site layout, and sequencing.
As a Forensic Engineer, Mark evaluated multiple structures in the wake of Hurricane Ike and Hurricane Sandy. Multiple trips to the Gulf area and East Coast allowed him to work with areas suffering from wind and flood damage. Has experience in construction defect claims, building envelope analysis, improper installation of roofing systems, and moisture intrusion analysis.
