Laura Espinosa is a certified Fire Investigation Technician (IAAI-FIT®) and a registered professional engineer in Colombia, with specialized training in origin-and-cause fire investigation under the NFPA 921 methodology. She has six years of experience as a retired volunteer firefighter, with expertise in training, inspection, and testing of water-based fire protection systems; rescue; integrated fire and hazardous materials emergency management; first aid and life support; coordination of the Hazardous Materials Response Team; and as a water rescue team member. She additionally brings four years of professional experience as an environmental engineer and holds a master’s degree in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Governance.

As a fire investigator for EFI Global Colombia, Laura leads and supports fire investigations across Colombia and Latin America, and additionally assists the environmental due diligence team.
