James Carpenter has worked for EFI Global since the beginning of 2023. Before then he worked for 25 years on the Clark County Fire Department in Las Vegas, Nv, from Jan 1995 to Jan 2020.  James was a Fire Fighter/Paramedic until July of 2012 where he was promoted to Fire Investigator. In July of 2015, James was promoted to Fire Investigator II.  James also worked part-time for the Boulder City Police Department since 2009 as their Fire Investigator and as a police officer.

James has earned the titles of Certified Fire Investigator, CFI, Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator, CFEI, and Certified Evidence Collection Technician, CECT, Fire Investigation Technician, FIT.

James has investigated over 1000 fire related incidences to include hotels, commercial structures, small businesses, apartments, residential houses, and vehicles.  He was responsible for writing the reports on at the least half of those fires.  James has testified several times in court, to a Grand Jury and in depositions as an expert witness.

James earned the title of State of Nevada Private Investigator, 2024.
