Greg Gordon is a highly experienced fire investigator who has investigated fires for both the public and private sectors. Shortly after graduating college in 1985, Greg began his career in the fire service when he joined the Tomball Volunteer Fire Department. For the next 34 years, Greg continued his work in the fire service, serving the community in a volunteer, part-time and full-time capacity. While working for the Houston Fire Department, Greg promoted to the rank of Investigator and became a court certified origin and cause expert. In this position, he was tasked with investigating incendiary and other types of fires for the City of Houston.

Greg is a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI), is affiliated with the International Association of Arson Investigators and is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) and Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI) through the National Association of Fire Investigators.

With over 40 combined years of hands-on experience in fire suppression and fire investigations, and with more than 2700 documented fire investigative cases with which he has been involved, Greg possesses a deep understanding of the complexities that are related to these kinds of fires.

Greg is committed to remaining at the forefront of issues related to NFPA 921 and NFPA 1033 and continues to hone his skills and expand his knowledge of fires in the following areas:
