Mr. Hodson retired from the Provo Police Department in November 2006. He served as a patrol officer, detective, Sergeant, and a fire investigator. He began investigating fires in 1991. He previously served with the Emery County Sheriff’s Office, Oceanside Police Department, and Chula Vista Police Department. He served with the Castle Dale Volunteer Fire Department for 6 years. Mr. Hodson has investigated over 1,000 fires.
Mr. Hodson is a graduate of the Utah State Police Academy. He is a graduate of Weber State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
Mr. Hodson is an adjunct instructor with Utah Valley University and the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy. He instructs fire investigation training.
