Derek has been a structural design engineer and project manager for over 25 years in many construction settings, from heavy industrial, to commercial, to residential.  With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, his career has focused primarily around structural principles.  Derek has managed projects ranging in size from a few thousands of dollars up to $100M.
