Professional Summary
Mr. Seidl has over twenty years of experience in the fire service and nine years of experience in Fire Origin and Cause Investigations. He has investigated a variety of fires including incendiary, fatalities, and large loss fires as both a public and private sector investigator. In 2008 Mr. Seidl was hired as a full-time firefighter with The City of Beaver Falls Fire Department. In 2016, Mr. Seidl was promoted to Captain and in 2020 was promoted to his current rank of Assistant Chief. Since being promoted to Captain in 2016, Mr. Seidl has been responsible for all fire scene investigations in the City of Beaver Falls and has assisted with fire scene investigations throughout Beaver County. In 2015, Mr. Seidl became certified as 1 of 5 Accelerant Detection Canine teams in Pennsylvania. Mr. Seidl has assisted numerous governmental agencies in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio with Origin and Cause investigations with his first Canine partner, Patty and continues to do so with his current partner, Sam. Throughout his career at the City of Beaver Falls Fire Department, Mr. Seidl has earned several Letters of Commendation and Valor awards. Prior to joining EFI Global as a part time fire investigator, Mr. Seidl was a part time fire investigator for Valentine and Associates from 2022 until 2024. He is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), The National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI), and The Pennsylvania Association of Arson Investigators (PAAI).
