Mr. Mills is a licensed professional engineer in multiple states and has over 16 years of engineering experience. Mr. Mills began his career providing engineering services for the heavy machinery industry, including power and cement plants, and heavy movable structures. He has prepared designs for mechanical systems, including hydraulic and power transmission machinery, and has performed stress analysis and machinery loading calculations. Mr. Mills provided on-site technical support and troubleshooting during the installation and commissioning of new and rehabilitated machinery and has performed hundreds of inspections and testing of various machinery systems.

Mr. Mills utilized his past engineering and hands-on experience when entering the forensic engineering field. Mr. Mills is also a Certified Tunnel Inspector, Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator, and a Certified Fireplace and Chimney Inspecter, and has received certifications from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). Mr. Mills utilizes these certifications to evaluate the design, installation, maintenance, use, and potential failure modes for various mechanical equipment.

Mr. Mills has experience conducting loss investigations and providing consulting services on the topics of mechanical and fire protection engineering. Mr. Mills’ expertise include, but are not limited to:
