Professional Summary
Michael Pinkerton, CAC, LI/A, RMT, CMI is an experienced environmental professional with more than 20 years of work experience in both as an EPA certified asbestos building inspector, asbestos safety technician (AST) in the state of New Jersey, certified asbestos consultant (CAC) in the state of California (who is also NIOSH 582 trained), lead-based paint inspector / risk assessor (LI/RA) in the state of California, radon measurement technician and a certified mold inspector. Mr. Pinkerton has surveyed over 250 facilities for reporting requirements under EPA AHERA and NESHAPS. Mr. Pinkerton has managed and conducted more than 350 indoor environmental quality assessments for mold and moisture as well as sewer related bacteria, allergens and odors. Mr. Pinkerton is familiar with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and
regulations that affect liability issues for the client. Mr. Pinkerton is a certified HAZWOPER technician who understands safety hazards, follows all safety regulations, and can recommend safe working practices and personal protective equipment.
Mr. Pinkerton’s experience also includes assisting other team members on environmental related projects, including Phase I environmental site assessments, soil and ground water monitoring during removal of underground storage tanks (USTs), soil and ground water testing and sampling, dust and noise sampling during construction activities, as well as the design and implementation of health and safety training for IAQ, HazCom, Right-to Know, confined space, lock-out-tag-out and EPA Tools for Schools.
Mr. Pinkerton is currently responsible for:
- Project Management of indoor air quality, mold and bacteria, asbestos, lead and radon related projects. This includes the investigation, outlining of work scope and post removal inspection.
- Interaction with the various government regulatory agencies including AQMD and OSHA.
- Interactions with various government agencies including CDCR, DMV and CalTrans.
- On-call for emergency response
- Preparing project cost estimates
- Complete interaction with client about all facets of project phases including coordination efforts between contractors for collecting and evaluating bids for work
