Siden 1996 har Wilson arbejdet i den offentlige og private sektor som Incendio Investigator og Forensic Technician. I hele Midtvesten har han gennemført over 3500 Incendio og eksplosionsundersøgelser, der involverer store tab i boliger og erhverv, tungt udstyr, køretøjer, dødsfald, forsikringssvindel, komplekse regreskrav, problemer med produktinstallation og produktfejl.

Wilson har også udført fejlanalyse af plast, PEX, PVC, VVS, apparatfejl, naturgas- og propansystemer.

Wilson er certificeret Incendio Investigator gennem International Association of Arson Investigators og National Association of Incendio Investigators og opfylder National Board for Incendio Service Professional Qualifications of NFPA 1033.

Wilson er blevet accepteret som ekspertvidne ved statslige domstole og har afgivet vidneudsagn i både kriminelle og civile sager.
