Mr. Barber has 39 years’ experience in the fire service and fire investigation field. Mr. Barber’s career began as a firefighter/EMT and progressed through the ranks to Assistant Fire Chief and Fire Marshal. He was an investigator and founding member of a large regional fire investigation task force whose members included ATF and Ohio State Fire Marshal deputies. As a Fire Marshal, Mr. Barber performed plan review, fire protection system acceptance inspections and fire code enforcement. He was responsible for all permitting of the city fireworks displays. Mr. Barber has numerous years of experience as a structural collapse and technical rescue technician. Mr. Barber is a IAAI-CFI and has a background in aftermarket two-way radio and emergency equipment installation.
