Mr. St. Clair has 28 years of experience in fire and explosion investigations and is currently working for EFI Global as a Senior Fire Investigator, CFEI. Mr. St. Clair started his fire investigative career at Largo Fire Rescue, initially as a Firefighter/Paramedic and later promoted to Fire Inspector conducting fire inspections, code enforcement and conducting fire investigations. While at LFR he attended Law Enforcement Academy and transitioned to state law enforcement and was hired by the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office, Bureau of Fire, Arson and Explosives (BFAEI), Tampa, Florida as a detective. St. Clair received advanced fire and explosives training with ATF at FLETC in Brunswick, GA. and other advanced training with the Florida State Fire College, Ocala Fl.  In his 23 years with BFAEI, he’s worked a wide variety of cases including but not limited to homicides, suicide by fire, insurance fraud, multi-state racketeering, fire death and injuries, serial arsonists, and related fire and explosive cases. During his tenure as a detective Mr. St. Clair Computer Voice Stress Analysis (CVSA Truth Verification) as an Examiner for 10 years. He became well versed in Geographical and Temporal Profiling coordinating task force efforts with local Sheriff’s Offices, Police, FBI and ATF. Additionally, Mr. St. Clair has experience working large commercial fire scenes and was part of a 20-member element of the state’s Forensic Investigative Support Team (FIST). Mr. St. Clair was promoted to Lieutenant of the BFAEI Tampa Field Office for his last 4 years. Mr. St. Clair has investigated over 1600 fires and has accumulated over 2500 hours in fire and explosion related training and has testified as an expert witness numerous times in 5 different state Judicial Districts and two Federal Districts, both criminally and civilly.
