Mr. Kubitz currently works as a Forensic Engineer in the Southwest District. He provides forensic engineering services and is based out of the Denver, Colorado branch office. Mr. Kubitz provides 14 years or forensic engineering experience in the southwest.
Mr. Kubitz has significant experience in construction litigation defect investigations. His involvement in these cases ranges from a Project Engineer to Associate Engineer. The bulk of his expertise involves structural investigations on residential projects, as well as larger projects such as parking garages and condominium buildings.
Prior to working for EFI Global, he was a Staff Engineer at Sunrun, Inc. responsible for doing design checks on residential roofs for photovoltaic installations. At Sunrun, Mr. Kubitz gained a wealth of knowledge about the solar industry and structural wood design. His role as Staff Engineer was to manage the internal engineering team’s custom structural calculations and other design tools. As Staff Engineer, he also supported the engineering team as the Engineer of Record for California projects.
As an Associate Engineer at Josephson Werdowatz & Associates, Mr. Kubitz worked on many construction litigation defect cases. Mr. Kubitz was responsible for supporting senior engineers and the firm’s principal engineers on cases. This work included research, field work; including destructive and non-destructive testing- evidence collection, data analysis, and generating reports.
