Mr. Conte has over 19 years of experience in the fire service with the last 12 years serving as a professional firefighter in the City of Newark, New Jersey. Before being promoted to Captain in 2022, he served as a member of Rescue Company 1. During his time at Rescue 1, he worked as a certified Hazardous Materials Technician as well as a certified High Angle Rescue and Confined Space Rescue Technician.  Mr. Conte also served 5 years as a member of Rescue Company 2- UASI, Urban Search and Rescue Team, responding to several large building collapses and explosions. He began his career in fire investigations in 2016, specializing in evidence recovery and leading 3rd party laboratory examinations where he has participated in over 200 investigations including residential, commercial, and large industrial losses.  Mr. Conte holds a bachelor’s degree from The College of New Jersey.
