He has expertise in buildings, retaining walls, towers, silos, bulk material handling, cranes and rigging, and has worked with a wide range of materials including: steel, timber, glulam, masonry, reinforced concrete, and precast concrete; pre- and post-tensioned. Mr. Boliek evaluates residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial structures for failure due to improper design, defective fabrication and erection, settlement, vehicular impact, extreme weather events, excessive loading, and insect infestation. He determines compliance with applicable codes, standards and specifications, as well as conformity with industry standards of practice.
