Jeff began work as a Forensic Structural Engineer in 2005 when he came to Florida to perform catastrophe work in the aftermath of Hurricanes Charley, Frances and Jeanne. Jeff has since performed hundreds of commercial and residential forensic engineering investigations, determining cause, origin and extent of damage involving issues such as building collapses, construction defect, building envelope failures, moisture intrusion, wind and hail damage, vehicle and tree impacts, explosions, fires and trip/fall accidents. He has also performed construction oversite and investigations regarding high-end condominium buildings along Florida’s coastline.
Jeff has a diverse background that provides a strong foundation for forensic engineering investigations. He worked through high school and college rebuilding packaging machinery and as a roofer. After college he worked with the US Peace Corps as a Bridge and Road Engineer in Africa. Thereafter, he returned to Kentucky and Ohio where he performed structural design and construction oversite of industrial, commercial and residential projects.
