Mr. Cope is a licensed professional engineer with over 13 years of experience in the consulting and forensic engineering industry. Prior to joining EFI, he worked for a small-family-owned engineering firm that conducted forensic engineering investigations in the south-eastern United States. Mr. Cope has analyzed thousands of cases to determine causation and to analyze the extent of damages from various failure mechanisms.
Mr. Cope is proficient in researching, analyzing, and interpreting codes and standards to guide the investigation. He uses a hands-on approach to his investigations that help him develop and test his hypotheses for the failure causation. He has conducted examinations in the field and in laboratory settings. He applies his technical experience as well as scientific principles of how devices work to determine their failure modes.
