Mr. McVey has 18 years of fire investigation experience conducting fire investigations for the fire service and private industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology from the University of Cincinnati. He has attended various seminars and holds certifications in several fire investigation areas:

• Origin and Cause – structural
• Origin and Cause – vehicle
• Marine – Fire, Sinking, Collisions
• Fire Protection Systems

He has specialized experience in commercial kitchen fires including trainings focused on inspection and function of fire protection systems. He has conducted several investigations involving commercial kitchens.  He also has specialized experience in agricultural fire investigations of grain processing and storage, food processing and farm equipment, as well as fire protection systems including sprinkler and alarm systems in small and large (1,000,000 sq. ft.) commercial facilities. His experience includes the pre-construction plan review, construction inspection and observation of final testing at completion.

Mr. McVey has over 80 hours of recorded flight time and over 500 flights on record. Mr. McVey is the Chief Pilot of UAS operations for Sedgwick/EFI providing administrative support for 75 operators within Sedgwick and EFI.
