Mr. Hendy has more than 4 decades of experience and is a seasoned professional highly qualified in project management, reviewing engineering designs, LERP permitting, SERC plans, remediation planning, site investigations, advanced hazard analyst, and is a general environmental, health & safety subject matter expert. He holds a master’s in occupational safety and Health and a certificate in Industrial Hygiene. He is a U.S. Army Veteran with extensive knowledge working as an industrial hygienist on large government projects including safety and health operations at federal facilities. Mr. Hendy has managed all aspects of emergency management programs, construction projects, safety, training, budgeting, liaison to regional level and others tribal, local, state, and federal government.
Mr. Hendy’s experience also includes Chemical Hazard Accessor for radiation surveys for landfill disposals, asbestos in federal buildings, lead, radon, combustion byproducts, mold assessments, emergency management, SSHO for USACE large contracts, Analyst and loss prevention specialist, federal projects, Phase I/II and characterizations, Environmental Site Assessments and clean-up, waste characterizations, worked on DOE / DOD projects, D&D, active in Region 5 EPA safety team EPA Lab ASB, as CHO. Expertise in regulatory compliance for EPA, MSHA, DOT, DOE contractor and OSHA inspections and training. He has extensive training working for federal facilities, emergency response and is a subject matter expert in EHS industrial hygiene field engineering work for governmental/military projects.
Mr. Hendy ensures effectiveness of incident investigations involving process and personal injuries ensuring thorough root-cause-analysis. He is experienced in handling any of manufacturing systems and is an expert with behavior-based safety systems, managing crews and team building and implementation of BBS. He has managed health and safety related activities such as PHAs, FMEAs and Hazard/Risk Assessments and chemical reviews during for new chemicals, processes, and equipment any equipment. He helps with general engineering in safety and health by contributing to the improvement/design of processes, equipment, any emergency response, maritime, construction and general industry safety training and SOPs.
