  • Professional summary

    Mr. Young has over 30 years of experience in civil and structural engineering.  He is experienced with structural forensic evaluations to determine causation of damage and provide structural repair recommendations as required.

    In addition, Mr. Young’s expertise includes design and analysis of wood framed structures, including buildings from one to four stories which service an array of occupancy types including one and two family dwellings, multi-family residential, clubhouse, retail, office, manufacturing facilities, etc.; design and analysis of Post-Tensioned Slab-On-Ground Foundations on various types of soils including expansive, compressible, and stable; and   design and analysis of low rise masonry and steel structures on concrete foundations.

    Mr. Young has served as a past member of the Post Tensioning Institute’s DC-10 Slab-On-Ground Committee.
