Andrew Rico has over 15 years’ experience in the fire service as a professional firefighter/EMT, fire inspector, and fire investigator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Arizona. He attended the National Fire Academy and graduated from the Fire/Arson: Origin and Cause course in 2015. He has investigated over 250 fires as a sworn fire investigator. He is an active member of the Southern Arizona Arson and Explosives Group. His investigative experience includes residential and commercial structures, vehicles, wildland, fire fatalities, and explosions. His active experience in the fire service and continued training has given him expertise in fire dynamics and behavior, evidence collection, scene reconstruction, incendiary devices, and witness/suspect interview techniques.
