John Steele began his career as an EMT for Rural/ Metro Ambulance Service. In this position he was responsible for providing emergency medical treatment. In 1996 he began his career in the fire service as a Firefighter/ EMT where he was responsible for fire suppression and patient care. He worked his way through the ranks to Captain where he was responsible for supervisory and teaching rolls. In 2014 he transferred to the fire investigation unit where he became a Certified Law Enforcement Officer and Certified Firearms Instructor along with Certified Fire Investigator with the International Association of Arson Investigators.
