This engineering specialty is utilized to determine how or why a collision occurred and the various factors that may have contributed to it. Our experts conduct full-scale collision site surveys to document forensic evidence that may be present while our engineers inspect the vehicles to determine impact points, collision forces and occupant interaction within the vehicle. We also have the capability to download any available collision data from the sensing and diagnostic modules (SDMs) of domestic and selected imported vehicles. Upon completing a field investigation, the collected data is analyzed to provide you with an objective, unbiased opinion of the circumstances surrounding the collision. Once this analysis has been completed, we are further able to discuss impact biomechanics, failure/forensic analysis and issues that may have prevented or minimized the collision.

Commercial Vehicles

Large commercial vehicles are intrinsically different than passenger cars because of their weight, size and mechanical properties. While incorporating the services provided in non-commercial vehicle collision reconstruction, our personnel perform detailed inspections of the brake systems, load distribution and paperwork in order to give you a complete picture of the collision scenario. Our experts can also work with local trucking services to download any available collision data from the engine control module (ECM) on the vehicle. It is especially important to contact us as soon as possible when a commercial vehicle is involved in a crash in order to preserve all evidence.
