EFI Global has established a comprehensive catastrophe response plan for this year's active hurricane season.
EFI Global, Inc., a leading provider of forensic engineering, fire investigation, environmental, accident reconstruction and laboratory testing services, has established a comprehensive catastrophe response plan for this year’s active hurricane season as predicted by the National Weather Service. The plan includes an appointed Catastrophe Response Director, a diverse team of engineering and environmental experts, a 24-hour call center serving as first point of contact for response requests, established work delivery protocols, and strategic business partnerships to aid clients in speedy disaster recovery efforts.
Ron Holt, President and CEO, EFI Global, Inc. has appointed Ted Cleveland as Catastrophe Response Director to direct and execute EFI Global’s immediate and long-term catastrophe response efforts. Cleveland has over eighteen years of management experience with multi-disciplined engineering services and environmental consulting, and will be leading response teams in the field as well as from our headquarters.
“EFI Global is strategically prepared for the anticipated challenges of the 2006 hurricane season. We have already put in place extensive resources, organized field operations, and a specialized team of project leaders with more than 75 years of combined experience specifically handling catastrophe assignments,” said Cleveland.
The EFI Global Catastrophe Response Team includes engineers, environmental scientists, fire and mold experts, and technicians that are knowledgeable in the unique conditions catastrophes create and are ready to accept and execute assignments involving structural and roof damage, mold evaluations, asbestos surveys, repair cost estimating and business interruption analysis.
“Our team performed more than 2,100 loss investigations and environmental assessments in the devastated Gulf Coast areas effected by Hurricanes Katrina, Wilma, and Rita in 2005,” Cleveland adds. “Our proactive planning approach this year has increased our workload capabilities and reinforces our commitment to meeting the needs of our clients.”
EFI Global has established a primary call center to accept disaster recovery inquiries and assignments, and will immediately dispatch the project team to the site.
